There were parts of THE GUNNERS that I absolutely adored – the characters, the dialogue, the wrap up – but overall I thought it fell a little flat. I wanted more from the plot.
Also, there were some major ideas brought up but never resolved (off the top of my head, I can think of two). I hate when a book does that. Don’t lead me to care about something but then leave me hanging.
As I mentioned before though…I loved the characters – especially Mikey – and I loved how it come together at the end.
I believe I have an #unpopularopinion when it comes to this one as many people have really enjoyed it. I think I may be in a #readingslump. I need some tips on how to break out of it. What’s your favorite way to break a reading slump?
