- In the Dream House by: Carmen Maria Machado (Graywolf Press)
- Inheritance: A Memoir of Genealogy, Paternity, and Love by: Dani Shapiro (Knopf)
- American Predator: The Hunt for the Most Meticulous Serial Killer of the 21st Century by: Maureen Callahan (Viking)
Teaches Me Something:
- The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of September 11, 2001 by: Garrett M. Graff (Avid Reader Press)
- More Than Enough: Claiming Space for Who You Are by: Elaine Welteroth (Viking)
- Sissy: A Coming-of-Gender Story by: Jacob Tobia (G.P. Putnam)
